Marriage Equality: A Matter of Will
As a new election approaches, activists need only ask if the will is present to restore equality in 2010, not just if the time is right. As our video "Impossible" reminds us, history is written by those who step out from the crowd, rejecting the cries of cannot be, will never be or just wait.
Time is short, and the work is great -- but also the 'impossible' is possible if we allow ourselves to make it so. Together, with all opinions heard, all talents utilized, all as one this grassroots campaign, this chorus of voices, can change the world.
The road to equality hit a roadbump in California in 2008, but it is here in California, this amazingly diverse and passionate state, that it begins again with you. We need all who are willing to stand for what is right over what is convenient, for what is truth over what is false, for what is possible over what is impossible, to join us now.
Stand up and say I am a V4E, a voice for equality. Take that pledge by signing up using the form to the right, and sharing your time and talents to ensure our place on the ballot in 2010. Kick in a few dollars if you can, and share this message with all those you know who are ready to fight for equality now or have lost some of that spark along the way. Let them know that voices4equality is a grassroots campaign which honors all and will empower each supporter to carry the message to their communities as they know best versus controlling the message from the top.
